If I take Vick no. 1 overall?

Pass TDs - 4 pts.
Pass yards - 1 pt./25 yards
Rush TDs - 6 pts.
Rush yards - 1 pt./10 yards

No bonuses.

You're nuts if you do that, I had him last year and he got me 2nd place but he got hurt and is sure to get banged up again.

I wouldn't take any QB in the first round with only 4 point passing TD's

Why can't you do dumb shite like this in the Recruiting Mock draft?

Seriously though, QBs in my league are valued much higher. 1 point per 10 yds passing, and 6 per passing TD. Even then, I can't see going with Vick. When you add up his rushing yds and TDs with his passing yds and TDs, it still won't match up with Brady, Brees, Rivers, or Rodgers.

On top of that, whether you will admit it or not, but his injury risk is much more real than any other QB.

It would be next to impossible for me to pull the trigger on him 1st overall.

With the first pick I'd take him. He'll give you roughly 14Pts a game solely on Td's and if he has another 3,000/1,000 year..you'll be happy to take him.

**Note: Taking Vick #1 overall is a huge risk and it shouldn't be done unless you plan to ride your entire team on it.

If you parse out his numbers last year over a whole season, he'd smash any of those QBs in points...

Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at. I could draft someone who is consistent and good like Peterson or CJ, or go for the gold.

You sir may be quite stupid. He finished last year 200 total Yds shy of both Rodgers and Brady add on the fact Vick didn't play the entire year and watch his numbers grow. If he plays 1 additional game last season then he would have passed them up in total yards.

One way or another it's a huge risk and your whole team is basically going to be riding on the health of a qb who has played 1 full season in his entire career.

It's outside the box thinking like this that results in championships.

I'll take 15 game seasons...hell I'll take 14 game seasons if they are the right weeks.

its pretty stupid, imo. It will be hard for him to duplicate the numbers he put up last year. Odds are they are good bit below.

My appologies. I never actually sat down and looked at it with the numbers like they are in your league. I only went off of the numbers in my league, which throwing TDs are the same as rushing and receiving. Forgive my ignorance on that one.

Obviously, if you spread his numbers over a full season, you are going to have unbelievable stats. But there is a reason that he has only played ONE full year in his career.
However, and it has already been said multiple times, but you are hinging your entire season on the fact that he WON'T be hurt. That alone would be too much of a chance for me to take. Add in the fact that last year was his best season, by far, and you have to hope that he could at least match that this year. Of course, Andy Reid's offense might be the key for you to make the boldest pick of the fantasy world.

I just ran some numbers using my scoring system, based off career averages (remember this is factoring in his time in Atlanta, where his passing stats were less prodigious over a full season than they were in 12 games for Philly last year) his total points would end up at 293.

Brady based on career averages: 282.

Yeah, not really. It takes away the entire 1st round being QB healthy, because 6 pts. per means they will almost unquestionably wind up the best scorers and guys like Eli Manning will suddenly be ranked top 10.

Do you think Eli Manning is top 10? Would you take him in the top 10? Yeah, I didn't think so...

I'm not comparing him to other QBs, I'm comparing him to who should be taken at the top spot. 4 pts per TD would mean 50-60 points less over the season compared to that of a RB who isn't affect by the 4pt passing TD
