BESIDES the fact they just told what they wanted to tell, it just wasn’t good?
I didn’t give a frick about a character, the arcs weren’t there, the dialogue wasn’t compelling, it was slow, it was just one big “mystery” except we all knew who Sauron was going to be.
Regardless of the Tolkien deviations, it just wasn’t a good show. That’s it.

I am not a harsh critic and can look past most woke and dumb decisions in movie making.
I couldn’t make it past 2.5. I just didn’t care what happened to anybody. I kinda wanted the elf who was enslaved by the orca to get out but I just didn’t care about anything else.
I begrudgingly powered through WoT, enjoyed Witcher despite S2 troubles, and liked the last GoT. I love fantasy.
RoP was just a slog to get through.

A lot of youtube guys make like 50 videos about how shitty a show is lol i made the mistake of clicking on one she hulk sucks video and they just came flooding in for the next week or 2. All saying the same exact thing.

If they all said the exact same thing as a group it’s probably because they each know the source material and realized every single thing that the show got wrong.
