A Florida doctor has been fired after he offered to sell parents medical exemption letters to help them circumvent school mask mandates.
quote:
Brian Warden, who was an emergency room physician at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, posted online that he would pen the exemption letter for $50, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. Whether or not he successfully sold any such letters is unclear.
quote:
"We act with absolute integrity in all that we do, and it is our expectation that providers behave in a way that is consistent with those values," hospital spokeswoman Rachel Stiles told the Tallahassee Democrat. "Immediately upon learning of this physician's actions, we began the process of removing him from providing services to our hospital patients."

Well he should be fired for that. He should probably lose his license.

If he is still licensed he should still write them. Thank you for your service, sir.

What's the issue? Outside of wellness visits, any trip to a doctor has a copay

Imagine what he was charging for oxycontin scrips.

His career is over, rightfully so.

Would be a shame. I'd imagine the same people trying to end this man's career celebrate doctors who will not treat non-vaccinated patients.

Cosmo is doing the same but he's selling extra vaccine shots

Just think of the money he could make faking those vaccine records. Years and years of booster payments. May as well start a subscription service.

Value at risk vs. value of reputation
The doc is done
Hope he was better at Emergency room medicine that he was at risk / return financial decisions.
Past tense intended

Seems reasonable especially with today's inflation.

My wife’s (no pics) charges to fill out medical paperwork for her. What’s the difference here?

What's wrong with offering medical exemption letters?
Was he falsifying letters?
