Folks who say "Prove me wrong" are lazy.

You must not have a toddler at home with 2 other kids in elementary school that their schools haven’t reopened yet.

It won’t change your mind, but maybe it will help you to not judge others taking a one all approach.

The first thing I learned as a dad was never judge other parents. Most are doing the best the can to manage jobs, manage families, stay married, and love their kids.

What if they use educational tools like ABC mouse?

Either way, I don't see anything wrong with letting the kid play on a tablet for an hour or so throughout the day so a stay at home parent can get some shite done.

And I guess I don't really care if someone considered me lazy for doing that.

Eta: when I get home from work, my son and I go for a walk, generally to the park or sometimes just on the trails throughout my neighborhood. We do that until dinner time. Sometimes we get home before dinner is ready. I like sitting and relaxing with him when he plays on his tablet.

His mom is constantly doing stuff. Either cleaning inside, doing yard work, creating lesson plans, cooking meals... She's the exact opposite of lazy. She doesn't stop.

Come over to my house and spend a day, you will change your mind with a quickness. Wife (no pic) and I will go out and have a good time while you conduct your experiment. I give you two hours before you either give them your phone or call and beg us to tell you where the tablets are hidden.

We were against them too, but they do a good bit of their homework on them, especially with the Wu Flu shite. It’s also how this generation communicates. They don’t talk on the phone and hang out in the neighborhood like we did, they text and play stupid f’ing games together online. I’ve had a crew over here for a sleepover and they played basketball, half arse football, and screwed around in the yard for about two hours, but they spent most of their time playing games and shite on their tablets. We also live on a very busy corner so they can’t really play in traffic, or hang out with the sex traffickers.

My kids are 14 and 17 and have had iPads since they were old enough to read.

They are both multi sport athletes and AP students
