I need a new set of rubber for a Cayenne. What’s the least expensive route to take? I’ve priced Tirerack and other local Firestone/Goodyear shops in the past and the difference was not that much after labor hassle etc.

In general Costco or Sams may be the best deal but I don’t know if they can do a Cayenne.

Any advice is appreciated

Get a rental and swap them out

Discount Tire but research on what tire you want.

I never realized how much of a difference good tires make until I splurged after getting a real job. It’s night and day.

Some things in life are worth the extra money and quality smooth tires are one of them.

Not looking for cheap tires. I want good quality tires (replacement) at the least cost.

Go to Costco, even if they don’t have the tires in stock they can usually get them in 5-7 days. They will rotate them every 7500 miles at no cost. Their road hazard warranty is very good. I once had a tire get cut by debris. It was about $50 to replace with a new tire. The problem was the new tire was not the same make and it required the same make tire to be used across from it. So they gave me the matching new tire for free.

So the payments on your glorified Volkswagen small SUV are making it hard to afford tires?

Why are you driving a Porsche if you can't afford tires?

Why wouldn't they? The tires are off the shelf and not a Bugatti.

How many hours have you messed around trying to save a maximum 10%?

You are going to spend $2,000 - $2,500. Take it somewhere that isn’t going to frick up the vehicle.
