Look all the traffic on 1-10 is stopped at the Atchafalaya. There’s no excuse for your lack of details.

Wouldn’t extreme heat do the opposite to asphalt, considering it gets softer when heated?

Trapped water that freezes usually causes bucking

It expands, and then buckles upward when it has no more room to expand.

I’m hearing it was the heat index, not the actual surface temperature, that caused it to buckle. Stay hydrated, people!
