How many of you bathe/shower while it’s lightning/thundering outside?

Remember my parents telling me not to get in the tub while it was lightning outside due to the possibility of lightning striking pipes and electrocuting you while showering. Always thought they made that up. These days hop in the shower without second thought of whats happening outside. Is being electrocuted a real possibility?

Yes baw. And don't pee in the shower when it is tundering. It is worse than peeing on a hot wire fence.

Think about being a farmer in the heartland back in the early and mid 1800s.

You have to get up, go out in a storm and use the outhouse. Plus you never knew what was coming with any storm

Lightning can strike you anywhere at any time if God says it's your time to go. My uncle got struck by lightning in his own bed.

You are 14 times more likely to be eaten by a tiger shark off the coast of Egypt.

unless the water inside the pex is purified, lightening will travel right through the hose

I played baseball outside when I was a kid. But we used real wood bats, not softball bats.
