my friends who are LGBTQ+ told me why Pride Month has exploded.

I have some friends who are LGBTQ+. They have told me "we will not be just tolerated". This means that along with having basic civil rights for jobs, housing, and so on and not having to live being afraid of getting beaten up, they want to be accepted and celebrated as much as straight people are.
Before just being tolerated was good enough and now they want more than that. Basically everyway we celebrate the traditional family and mom and dad and so on they want to be celebrated the same way.
Just like it was a big deal at one point that McDonald's featured adds with black people they want McDonald's to have adds with gay people and so on.
And they say that they have had heterosexuality thrown in their faces their whole lives then it's fair to have homosexuality thrown in our faces.

Nobody wants to “celebrate” their sexual fetish. And if we’re being honest, at its core that’s what homosexuality is, a sexual fetish. Do we celebrate other fetishes? Is there foot fetish or BDSM pride months? No. That would be stupid and I say that as a foot guy. Nobody cares about other people’s kinks. And they especially don’t want to be forced to celebrate them.

For years they've been saying they didn't choose to be gay, trans, whatever. So why should we celebrate them or feel proud for something they didn't choose?

Get a hobby. Find some actual interests.
