Man stabbed in New Orleans takes ferry to Gretna for treatment

According to a preliminary report by the NOPD, the victim, a man, was approached on Canal Street by another man with a gun. The suspect demanded the victim's phone.
Police say when the victim refused, the suspect put the gun away and pulled a knife, stabbing him multiple times.
The victim then took the ferry to the Westbank to get treatment by EMS in Gretna, according to the preliminary report.
