Best everyday sneakers

I need some new sneakers that look good but are very comfortable. For the record, I'm 64 and can afford better things if I want to. I'm getting drawn to the NB 990V6 because I think you can get several years out of them vs the 9-12 months out of cheaper ones. I already have some yard work shoes and some sports shoes. I will wear these a lot because I don't work anymore.

I have a couple of pairs of New Balance FreshFoam Hierro v7. They are insanely comfortable for all day wear.

My fleet feet had a pair of Topo’s, which I had never heard of before, but liked how they fit and decided to give them a shot. CEO worked at rockport and then was the CEO of vibram before starting his own company. I was looking for a good everyday shoe I could do a lot of walking in, and these are great.

Brooks are pretty good. My feet never hurt in them.

Good choice. Made in the US.

You can’t go wrong with any of the 990s from 3 to 6 as an everyday shoe (v1 and v2 are a bit more on the “retro” side)

I’ve tried others. I keep going back to these.

Made in USA new balances are a good place to look

I’m on my 7th or 8th pair of NB990 series. Best shoe I’ve ever owned but last pair was over $200. They have about priced me out of the market

There's a site called Joe's New Balance Outlet that sells last year's leftover stock. Might want to check them periodically. Last time I looked they didn't have any of the USA line.
Of course, they last long enough that $200 is far from a good price but probably better value than a Chicom shoe.

Buy a pair of merrel hiking shoes. I finally did and won't wear anything else. These are hands down the most comfortable thing I've ever worn.
I'm a bit older so I'm not running anymore and I dang sure ain't playing tennis.

I’m pretty sure no 990s (or any other of the made in USA line) ever hit Joes, so there’s no point in waiting.
Most of the online sneaker boutiques are running 15-30% deals this week, so now is the best time to buy a pair. Only problem is trying them on, as new balance sizing is funny; the MiUSA line typically runs very big.
New balance just retro’d the 990 v4, which i think is the best looking model.
