Do we all still agree that Fibromyalgia is still BS spewed by the Dr. Shoppers?

My Great Grandmother lived 101 years, dipped snuff, cooked and quilted until she was 95 and never bitched about a little joint pain.

Well obviously she never caught the fibromyalgia.
Other posters here know how debilitating and devastating it is to the point they are on disability.

I’ve known two people who claimed fibromyalgia. Both were morbidly obese white women. Neither were druggies. Just really really disgustingly fat.

I watched a strong man that one day was doing endurance marathons and the next day turn into a person that would rather die than live with the pain that doctors couldn't fix. He battled addictions. He tried every treatment. His wife went to college to become a nurse because of this.

It’s a real thing for those that it affects, just like bipolar, depression, etc. It’s also a waste basket disease like those other ones.

Doctors sometimes just throw pills at folks. Those rehab clinics are the worst.

Did she happen to be from Arkansas? My great grandmother lived to 95 or so, also liked the snuff, and once told me wintergreen long cut was for babies
I forget the brand but it was something European and I’m pretty sure it had caffeine in it.

Hate to tell you but fibromyalgia is real. Grannie still has it. I make the kids wear masks when we visit. Nothing to take lightly.

She dipped the powdered snuff in the green and yellow tin can. Can't recall the brand name. I tried it once and couldn't handle it. And I dipped Copenhagen Straight fine cut for years until finally quiting.

How many men have feel some pain or discomfort throughout the day? Probably 100% but you don't see most complaining about it. A lot of it is probably from their sedentary lifestyle. Not to mention just the fact of getting older doesn't help. I've seen people call fibro as the white woman disorder. My cuz's wife has fibro but she seems fine in the interactions, but she a biggie.

Yes, it seems to be mostly white women in the 30-60yr old range who despise keeping a clean house, so they hire out cheap labor to come in and vacuum and dust once a month
