Fraudulent charge on debit card

So I logged into to my mobile banking a few minutes ago and there is a $168 charge for something called Spectrum. A google search tells me that’s an Internet company, but I don’t have internet with them. I tried calling my bank, but they are closed til Monday. It’s a local bank so there’s no national branch to reach out to. What should I do? Obviously I’ll call the bank first thing Monday. I should get the $168 back right?

Your bank should have a 1-800 number for fraud.

Yeah, I've had it happen to me before on a debit card and it took a week or so to get my money but I got it back.
I still use a debit card a good bit but it's just an account for spending $$ and never has more than $300-400 in it.

Don't know who your ISP is, but I've done paperwork with Charter locally that had Spectrum on the letterhead.

I guess some idiot used your info to sign up or it's a sham company name. Good luck if you have to deal with Spectrum and not just the bank. We called them to cancel service, confirmed, and they still charged the next month. They refused to refund it. Frick spectrum.

Is there anyone who has access to your card who could have opened a spectrum tv account? Maybe started a free trial and forgot to cancel.

Never use a debit card for anything other than cash withdrawals from an ATM.

Got a 1-800 number and got the card canceled. Guess I’ll start with the bank Monday over the $168. Fun.

Just go spend all the money in your checking account before they do. Now is the time to buy that thing you've always wanted, but couldn't justify the cost.
