We would prefer Greek Revival but Federalist could do. I’ve seen few 1840s+/- homes listed.
Walkability to restaurants, schools, museums, etc. is mandatory.
Thanks for all suggestions.

make sure life insurance is paid and funeral arrangements are made before you go, there wont be much time to do it later while you bleed out on the ground

You want it with nice ghosts or angry ghosts? Homes with angry ghosts are discounted.

My query is earnest.
I’m not terribly familiar with the area.
Is the consensus that I’m looking for a unicorn?

What you want to do is find a place on a street named after a president, north of LSU. They're named after presidents because they're teeming with history. McKinley middle and high school are within walking distance, as well as amenities like the Lincoln Theater and the Carver Branch Library. You'll love it.

There's really no area of BR that's like this

Check out Oak Alley plantation outside BR

Not sure there's a decent area that can get you all of these. Restaurants are easy in some areas, but schools?

Not to burst your bubble, but let me know if you find this unicorn in your endeavors. The only thing remotely fitting your description is the garden district and get ready to pay out the arse for anything remotely decent.

OP is a longtime TD member. This has to be a troll, but it could be a good one.
If serious, I’m sorry you had to find out this way…

yes, you arent far from moving into an active war zone and that is in no way joking
if you have to be "near" BR to work there, move outside the city as far as you are ok with the commute. you will be very glad you did
