I can't poo-poo the notion. My business partner just told me the story of his acquaintance from college who had been diagnosed year, with a cancerous tumor on an internal organ (can't remember which one), who went alternative medicine after chemo, and fasted for 21 straight days, with only water.
He was monitored for his blood sugar and other vitals during. He was overweight, lost around 60 lbs. during his fast, and when he hit the 21st day, they tested for the tumor. It was gone. That's all I got. He said he called it "starving the tumor". Remarkable to say the least.
