Kid friendly all inclusive

Hi. I'm looking for a kid friendly all inclusive. The major issue is I have 4 kids. So, from what I can tell online, this makes getting one room difficult. Anyone have any insight into how it works with larger families?
Also, does anyone have any particular kid-friendly AI resorts that they really like?

Hard Rock Cabo was nice. They have two bedroom suites. Down side is you cant swim in the ocean on that side of Cabo, but they make up for it with all the pools, slides, arcades, etc

Have you considered doing a cruise also? Disney cruises are a bit expensive and it keeps out the riff raff. Plus they'll have tons of activities for kids of all ages.

Unlike other chains, Hilton will guarantee you connecting rooms at booking.
I stayed at the adult part of Hilton La Romana in the DR this May and liked it, but the waterpark is really nice and I thought it would be an even better destination with a family. It's on a great beach and has had zero problems with seaweed (unlike much of the Caribbean).

Check out Finest Resorts run by Excellence.

My wife and I just went to Excellence PM this summer and loved the resort. I've heard people that really liked Finest, which is next door.
Was hoping for a more Caribbean feel as opposed to Mexico. I've never been to DR. How is the water over there?
We've been to Exhuma, Bahamas and I was absolutely blown away by the water. It was hard to believe the color was real.

I'm just curious what the benefits of an all inclusive are for kids of these ages? I guess the activities are free on site? Water park and stuff? The benefit to most is free food and drinks and not worrying about your wallet, but with young kids their food and beverage costs are very minimal.

That's a good point. Mainly it is ease. The thought of letting the older two run off and grab food/drinks when they are hungry/thirsty are intriguing. Also, as you mentioned, having everything set up (i.e. pool with slide, beach chairs, activities) is also a plus. Trying to make this a vacation for them, but also for me.
I'm tired of lugging a small city to the beach and then tearing it all down. Also, after running the numbers on how much we spend every year going to 30A, it has me thinking that going to the Caribbean or similar wouldn't be much different.

Makes sense. For your purposes though, and I have little experience here, you may just look into a resort that has "free-ish" on site activities and that your kids can charge stuff to the room?
The main reason I mention this is it may open your options a lot more.

That is a good point. Do you have any places in mind? I've heard that Baha Mar is nice. Looks enormous though.

Thanks, TigerFred. I really enjoyed the Excellence resort we went to.
How did you like the DR? Do you know if they have rooms for 2 adults and 4 kids? When I click on reservations, it stops after 3 kids.

Looking more and more at the Finest Punta Cana place. We were extremely impressed with Excellence Playa Mujeres. It is amazing how their prices are so reasonable. It was much nicer than many higher end resorts (both AI and non-AI) we have been to. The food was even really good (except the French restaurant).

Got married at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya because Generations kid friendly. The pier was on the Generations side and it was awesome. You can escape kids for a while with the setup.

Uhhh when you have 4 kids eating out every meal…that is not some minimal costs when you get nickeled and dined for every drink/snack/ice cream etc. that kids will be craving for while on vacation.

We went to Coconut Bay resort in St. Lucia with young kids. 3 & 6. The resort was nice but you would probably have to get adjoining rooms. I really liked St. Lucia. The only downside was the resort was on the Atlantic side so a lot of seaweed. Going forward, I'll always try to find somewhere on the Caribbean side if possible.
