Strawberry hot springs is a must. I’m short on suggestions. That’s one my favorite summer visits. I make the 2 hour drive to every summer, but haven’t been there in the winter in over 15 years.

I'll second this. Also, Paramount for lunch is a another good one.

Sunpie's Bistro is a great little local's spot on the Yampa River. It used to be owned by a NOLA couple but not sure anymore.

Once you discover Tomahawk ski run, you'll spend every minute of your trip on it.

Yes, clothing-optional after dark. It's also a much further drive. We went to Old Town Hot Springs. It's a very short drive located right as you get downtown. Multiple pools and wasn't ever overly crowded.

Saddleback Ranch for tubing is a good time. Just look at the schedule before because they were closed on certain days of the week.

Ore House at Pine Grove is a good steak house. Good environment.

Bumping this thread to see if there are any other suggestions. We are headed there in a few weeks for our first time.

Looking at booking this for me and the wife for next March. Never been to Steamboat but have a free place to stay close to the lift.

I was in Steamboat last week. Steamboat and Crested Butte are my favorite towns in the state. Hopefully i can get a crash pad in Steamboat after next ski season.

Food: Yampa Valley Kitchen is fantastic for breakfast. Table79 sucked; food, price, service all sucked. Close to the lift there’s Truffle Pig which is nice for a slopeside spot.

Random things to do: Old Town Hot Springs across from Rabbit Ears Motel is a health club that has hot spring feed pools with a big slide and hot tubs plus a big gym. Howelsen Ice Arena has ice skating and ice bumper cars.
