Wait, are we clenching or clinching?
Or both?
We need the real Yuli to please step up big time.
Or both?

2 people are stepping up today:
1 unknown pitcher

Hopefully both but the OP is not a typo

It’s time to clench
No need to clench over a team that decided to turn it on at the very last minute with a thin pitching staff and the Josh Reddick of managers.
If they win, great. If not, oh well. They're not winning the play-every-day ALCS anyway.

The whole story has been there right in front you the enitre time and some still refuse to see it. Plain as the mask on your face.

We win today.
That's it. That's the only insight I have right now.

Here's our pitching options for the next 2 days and needing 1 game to win:
Options:
Grienke (probably not 100%)
Javier (21 pitches on Monday)
McCullers (75 pitches on Monday), unavailable today
Valdez (103 pitches on Tuesday), unavailable today
Bullpen:
Scrubb (16 pitches yesterday)
Garcia
Taylor (10 pitches Monday, 19 yesterday)
Parades (21 pitches Monday , 10 on Tuesday)
Pressly (7 pitches Monday, 19 on Tuesday)
Unavailable pitching due to rest:
Urquidy (79 pitches yesterday)
Unavailable due to rest and suck:
Raley (38 pitches yesterday)
Unavailable due to suck:
James (24 pitches yesterday)
Today we have to get 27 outs between:
Grienke
Javier
Garcia
Parades
Pressly
If this goes to a game 5, we have:
McCullers
Valdez (limited)
Taylor
Scrubb
If we win today, game 1/2 of the ALCS sets up for Valdez/McCullers on normal rest.
If we lose today but win tomorow, ALCS 1 and 2 set up as no fricking clue and prob lose bofa those.
In conclusion, we need 6 innings minimum out of any combo of Greinke/Javier to keep this train rolling.
Am I overacting..
Also, no clue how we would do this for 7 straight days next week. Verlander, Smith, and Osuna would be nice to have

True, but keeping the ALCS streak alive and pissing a bunch of people off would be quite rewarding and give em some momentum into next year.
More importantly, frick Mike Fiers and the A's.

I have no false hope that our duct tape starting rotation and bad bullpen could make it through a 7 game series but I'd be satisfied with a trip to the ALCS. That would be quite the over achievement for this group.

Today is a must win. Tomorrow's pitching will be crap.
We need to be cheering for the Stankees, because I do not believe we can beat the Rays in a 7 game series. The Yanks have as many issues as we do currently. We might beat them.
Win today! Do or die!

Greinke getting the ball
Gotta get 12-15 outs out of him today. Feel pretty good about it because he lives down in the zone so hopefully he can keep them in the park at the very least.

Hopefully a Grienke/Javi combo can bridge us to Enoli and Pressly.
Or the offense scores 20.
Or the offense scores 20.

Hopefully Reddick stays on the bench where he belongs

Baker said Reddick is back in the lineup, in the 8th spot and playing RF. Brantley is DH. Back to normal lineup.
