Worst World Series champion in the last 20 years?

I’ll have to go with the Washington Nationals. Getting hot at the right time has always been a big part of winning the World Series, at least in my lifetime, but this is the most extreme example of a mostly mediocre team catching fire.

I think it could be some sort of cosmic justice making up for that real good 2012 team.

Record wise, yes. However, all of the key players that spent a lot of time on IR got healthy at the right time.
