Everyone laughs at the Big 12, or whatever theyll be called after Oklahoma and Texas split for greener pastures.

Now they are bringing in Colorado, a school better situated for the Mountain West, which will significantly diminish the appeal of this dying conference.

Colorado does NOT have a baseball team.

Colorado’s basketball team was consistently bottom half of the Pac standings

Colorado football is arguably the WORST current Power 5 program (their 44-73 record is the worst of any P5 school to be changing conferences in the last 10 years).

This is a huge L for the Big 12, but I guess they are desperate to get whatever they can to atay afloat.

Seriously? A school that size I always assumed they would. Honestly, that just seems strange.

Yep.

No baseball program.

Imagine how desperate the Big 12 is.

Iowa State doesn’t have baseball either.

There’s a B1G school or two without one as well.

Nobody GAF about sports in boulder in general. You barely know it’s game day for football. Maybe that changes for a brief moment in time with Deion, but it doesn’t change in the long run. There’s too many transplants who move here for everything that isn’t sports. Most bars don’t even have TVs. Catching Nuggets games during the finals was a joke. CU is gonna have to take whatever they can get athletics wise, and at this point in time the Big 12 is a perfect fit

Colorado is a garbage athletic program but they have a ton of potential with their market, Colorado grads are fiercely loyal to their dumpster program and are a great research institute

Even with all of this they are a meh pickup, but a great pickup when you look at the Bug 12 strategy, now the Pac12 is on wobbly footing and it’s likely they will poach 1-3 more schools. It’s eat or be eaten time in the realignment game

I think Colorado will be a much better program once they start recruiting Texas and the Midwest again

now compare that with the conference hemorrhaging members in a part of the country who is so absorbed with the failings of local government that they don’t even have time to think about sports

College baseball is a non factor in conference realignment

It’s a big deal at LSU and most SEC schools but that’s it

Coach Prime gonna fix that football thing and since the Big 12 Basketball is a meat grinder they need a cupcake now and then. If the Gonzaga and UConn to Big 12 for basketball only pans out the conference will be amazingly strong.

I honestly don’t understand why any northern schools keep baseball. With it being played in the winter and spring, they are setup to fail. College baseball needs to be moved the start of the season back a month in a half.

It's a big deal at 4 SEC schools, the rest lose money.
