With all the talk going on, I was wondering what the response would be to the top 10 college coaching jobs.
Here are my selections in no particular order:
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Texas A&M
Oklahoma
Texas
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Clemson
USC

LSU is a no doubt top 10 job.

Last 3 coaches have won a title here. The discussion should be top 5, not top 10.

It's gotta be tough to bring top names to Louisiana, though. The job may be top 10 but the location is bottom 10

It's not even a question if it's top10.
Is it a top 5 coaching job?
I think so. Even more so with where the SEC is headed in the next few years

LSU definitely top 10. Take out Clemson and put Florida , Clemson is a top program now because of Dabo but as an overall job it’s just outside top 10 . The resources at Florida and being in sec and Florida recruiting is better

Whenever you are a millionaire, this isn't exactly a concern. You think the new coach will be living on a street named after a president?

Name another program that has had 3 straight coaches win National Titles. Now name one that has done it in the 21st century. Then find one that could’ve done it with Miles and a shrimp boat captain. LSU is a top 5 job.

LSU is way better than almost every one of them.
Clemson? Give me a break. I would list Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and Florida as jobs that are roughly equal to LSU. None of those others are. That yo-yo we almost hired made the mistake of thinking Texas was a better job. He found out.

I think Florida is not as good a job as LSU
Miami and FSU are down right now, but there are periods where they are solid programs in state. Not to mention Everyone else raiding the state. You are A home team not THE home team.

Alabama isn't a top location either but the legacy is.
Is the Legacy of LSU top 10?

LSU is a top 10 job that is borderline top 5. Similar to UGA

I'd say it's top 5 easy.
Alabama has to compete with Auburn.
Florida has to compete with FSU and to a lesser degree Miami.
Texas has A&M to compete with.
OU has OSU to battle with.
Notre Dame has tough academic requirements.
USC should be top 5 but they don't care about sports.
Michigan has to compete with MSU.
That leaves Georgia, LSU, Ohio St and Clemson.
Alabama is still top 5 just because of the history which sells itself.
My rankings would be:
1. OSU - No real in-state threat - Cincinnati is not getting OSU recruits no matter how good they are currently. Easier path to title than SEC usually.
2. Bama - But this could change once Saban leaves. They have a tough conference and good in-state rival.
3. Tie LSU/Georgia - Georgia Tech is not a real threat to Georgia. Both have huge amounts of in-state talent. Georgia currently has an easier path to the playoffs. LSU gets the nod historically for more titles. No instate competition and unreal local talent.
4. Texas - Unreal in-state talent. Even with A&M, there's more than enough talent to make UT a perennial playoff contender.
5. Tie Clemson/OU/USC - Super easy path to the playoffs for all three but all have disadvantages too. OU has a good in-state competitor and will be joining the SEC where it won't be a cakewalk every year. They have little in-state talent. Clemson historically is not nearly as good and should revert back to the mean. USC just doesn't give a shite.

The only downside of the LSU job is dealing with the traffic
