Just curious if he's taking the Burrow grad school route and focusing on football.

I think he's graduating this summer, so within the next week. It's cool to see guys doing this. Opens up so many options for them

Good for him but it's such BS. Remember, before the days of online classes, how many athletes had to come back years later to get their degrees?? Now they all graduate in three years. Hmm?? Are they just so much smarter or could it be....?

Could it be that they are taking classes during the summer, and finishing early? You can easily knock off a year if you spend 3 summers taking classes.

I personally wouldn't hold it against young adults for taking advantage of technology advancemens to put themselves into a better life situation and often a better situation for the team.

There is a 3rd option here...
It could be that message board posters, such as yourself, have a stereotype of all athletes as knuckle dragging morons...
So for those that fall under that category, let me help..
many of these athletes are very smart.. as in they go on to be doctors, accountants, engineers and all manner of high skilled professionals...
So the fact that some finish school early is not really a surprise...

Between summer school and intersessions, there's a lot of classes you can move up

I know. It was a rhetorical question, directed at that racist moron.

This stereotype is prevalent because most of these athletes are knuckle dragging morons.

There is nothing wrong, and much to recommend, stereotypical thinking about a group. It becomes evil when we apply these stereotypes to individuals.

Yeah, I should have used "many" instead of "most".

So he will do film study and prepare like a mad man? Hope so, he has potential for sure. Still have no idea how this season will pan out. But I hope we play

Not to mention that a lot of students come out of high school now already having earned some college credit. Hell, my goddaughter had nearly 3 semesters worth when she graduated high school.
I could definitely see Miles as someone who went to a school and had the ability to earn some college credit.

I sure hope so. He had a front row seat on how it should be done.

Some degrees require you to really learn a ton of stuff. But a lot, you just gain passing familiarity on the subjects, and demonstrate that you can be taught. Your prospective employer will then teach you what they want you to do. So grinding out as many classes as possible, in order to get that degree faster, it's just putting you in position to move up the ladder earlier.
In the past, a lot of us took longer in college because we were undecided on our paths, and happened to enjoy hanging around campus without serious responsibilities. Partying, etc.
You remove the parties and the socialization (going online), and most everybody will get through it a lot faster.

High schools offer much more college credit as well. Students can enter college as a sophomore now.

Exactly what I came to post. Through AP exams or dual enrollment, kids can easily knock out many of the core classes while in high school.

Or could it be that you're a moron? They use to have to pay their own rent to be on campus during the summers. Now the scholarships cover summer courses so they all take them so that they can be here for summer workouts. Many of them start immediately after they graduate high school. You fricking idiot.
