and he didn't grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth and has worked for everything he has while connecting with the players that will run through a brick wall for him

And he’s giving young men a chance to get out of the socioeconomic disadvantage that most of them grew up in.

Ed’s comments sounded a lot more genuine than say Dabo who danced around it

College coaches and professional coaches will try to our virtue the other.
Gotta get them recruits.
Except O is one of the few that have yet to put out a statement or say anything on social media. And people on Twitter were talking about that earlier today
There are plenty making statements bc they feel like they have to, but there are plenty that actually care about people.

The heart has been fully engaged . But has the mind ? Can we teach brotherhood AND the importance of non violent protest with the same sense of urgency to young people ? Or do we stand quietly by as more victims are created every single moment? There are people alive who will be dead by morning because of this. This is an ongoing event. There should be a challenging of the mind to go along with exploration of feelings.

Glad he's our coach.
All he really had to say but it means a lot that he said it.

Who cares what Twitter thinks? It's more important that he talks to the people most important to him -- his players. That's what counts.

Good coach, better man. He’s a great mentor to a lot of young guys coming up. Battling discrimination growing up, alcoholism, failing and now succeeding. He’s sincere, which is unheard of in today’s age.

I don't. I was simply saying some were starting to question the lack of statement from him

Moron. The article even quoted Coach O saying that his message to the players about this
Was “in house” and stays there. He is specifically not virtue signaling or using this as some cheap opportunity to impress a recruit.
He’s genuine and means what he says. Great man.

I love all my players like they were my own. I know some are hurting right now, and I totally support them. I will not tolerate racism, and they know it.”
My man!
