[Long Post] Objective Assessment: Clemson is the BEST Team We Will Play

I can’t believe all of these serious “LSU by 21” comments. I know it’s not everyone, but for all of you who have recently jumped onto the Burreaux Train:
-Just because Clemson’s schedule is garbage doesn’t mean they can’t keep up in a shootout.
-They have the best QB and coaching staff we have faced all season long.
-Ross = Julio Jones
-Higgins = AJ Green
-Rogers: reminds me of Steve Smith with the ball in his hands and route running.
-What’s scary about the above is that they LOVE running four vert plays over and over again.
-We won’t see that short-route passing scheme they ran versus OSU because we can’t get the same type of pressure.
————
Here’s an objective look into our season:
-Florida: kept it close for three quarters and played us very well. This is when Trask was just starting to put it together. It was our second biggest game and still pretty early in the season. Florida did well up until their DBs started giving our WR some space. We ended up winning by double digits.
Auburn: Yes the field was shite, but that should also slow down the D-line. Our offense looked like shite in the red zone. That’s supposedly a strength for Clemson, but honestly, OSU dropping TD passes doesn’t mean your red zone offense is great. We need to improve here. If Auburn’s offense was even remotely competent, they’d win this game.
Bama: Bama’s defense is not that great, especially by Bama’s standards. That being said, Clemson’s defense is better. I don’t buy into the Tua’s injury affecting his game, it was the same Tua from the NCG. There were a lot of take always from this game: Burrow obliterated their defense and scored at will. The defense did great aside from 2 blown TD passes and the punt return. The score here is not indicative of the real game. That being said, Clemson is better than this Bama team.
-Ole Miss: so many people point to this game that don’t know shite about college football. Yes, we played like garbage, but the Bama hangover was real and Delpit wasn’t anywhere near 100%. He was a big reason why their QB ran all over us. Regardless, it was a wake up call and the defense stepped up the rest of the season.
-UGA: this would’ve been a great measuring stick, but UGA’s offense is focused around Swift and he wasn’t healthy. Our offense could’ve dropped 70, but I wanted to see what the defense was capable of. Not much more to say about this game.
-OU: even if OU had all of their players, this would’ve been a blowout. No takeaways from this game.
So here we are. Clemson in one week. They will undoubtedly be the best team we have played all year.
Sunshine pumpers: Clemson is the defending champs who returned the entire offense, has a very underrated offensive line, and better defense than Bama. I don’t believe Clemson can slow our offense down, but our defense has been gashed before for big plays. If anything, the NCG magnifies a team’s weaknesses.
Expect Clemson to do everything they can to keep our offense off of the field for as long as possible.
Edit: I wanted to add that we will be the best offense Clemson has ever seen, but Clemson is the best team we have faced on both sides of the ball. Ohio State was the best defense Clemson has faced.
Edit #2: the tl;dr: we have not played a complete team like Clemson all season. Clemson has. It’s an unpopular fact, BUT IT’S A FACT. You cannot expect the same results based on our previous games. Our offense will do well, but you’d be foolish to assume their offense won’t succeed as well.
Edit #3: I’d genuinely love to feel as confidant as y’all about this game. If you’re going to refute these claims, please provide the reasoning, not just “we can’t be stopped.” The Clemson tape has been pretty remarkable. There’s a reason why Delpit praises the shite out of them and our defense said Burrow and Lawrence are 1a and 1b.

We’ll play the best team in the CFP Championship?!

The more important question is how can the fans have an impact on the game? Bring the noise the entire game starting when Clemson takes the huddle.

I think they're a really good team, but I stopped reading at ...
You're telling me they have 2 of the most elite physical WRs that have ever played the game? On one team??? Wow

they play very similar on tape and are both guaranteed first rounders.
watch the tape on them and you’ll be very impressed.
Edit: or just wait until next Monday. Bookmark it. They will give us fits.

They are more than likely the best team we will have played and I won’t be shocked if we win by 21.
I’ve never seen a college football team clicking like we have the past three games.

bullshite. Tua broke the record for highest QBR in a season this year and our defense faces a better QB every day in practice

I’ve sent your post to the coaches, no matter how retarded it is. Hopefully they learn from your spot on analysis.

I have made it very clear the reasons I think this game won't be close. I'm not going to adjust my opinion based on the magnitude of the game. Sure, that factors into it, but there is nothing about LSU that indicates they play worse under the big lights. In fact, if this season has displayed anything, it's that this team excels in the spotlight.
I don't think Clemson is a bad team. I think they are the 3rd best team in the nation. I've seen 4-5 games of theirs in their entirety this season, as well as Ohio State, and that game is won by OSU 8/10 times. I know the on field play is what matters, but if this was OSU, I would be calling this a much closer game.
I don't think they can keep up. Sorry.

Why did you leave out the one common opponent in your assessment?

You must not have been watching the games at the end of the season. The D is much improved and has been able to cause the opponent's QB problems.

Again, you must not be watching the games, our RZ offense also has improved in this area, since Auburn there is a dedicated time each week to implement NEW RZ plays. Our RZ O is at 97% in case you were wondering.

It wasn’t intentional, but here it is:
aTm: This was Clemson’s week 2 opponent and their defense shut them down for the majority of the game. Like our Bama game, the final score isn’t indicative of the game played. Just like with LSU, Clemson is a much better team—Clemson on offense, LSU on defense.
The LSU game was just as dominate on defense and the Offense steamrolled aTm. There’s not much to take away from this game. Again, trying staying objective, this current Clemson team would likely drop way more than 24 points in aTm.

These are not mutually exclusive.
They may be the best team that we'll play, and we may still beat them by 21 points.

I agree, we’ve certainly improved our red zone offense.
If anything, I think Clemson’s red zone defense is overrated. Clemson had one legit earned red zone stop versus OSU.
Clemson was beat soundly on the other red zone trips, but OSU whiffed.

Julio Jones, AJ Green and Steve Smith on one team
What does LSU have?
Those 3 WRs are great but this is a silly comparison.

Lost in the sea of downvotes, I’m still listening to any sound reasoning as to why?
I’m being serious. I’d love to feel as confident as y’all going into this game, but Clemson’s tape has been outstanding.
