The contract they are giving him is an indication. O is gone next year if he doesn't show progress and Aranda takes over

With that salary and buyout, that much is clear - either O turns it around, which will mean Aranda continues to be the highest paid coordinator in America (at LSU) and gets the job in 6 to 8 years, or O doesn't turn it around and Aranda gets the job in 2 or 3 years.
In my mind, that means Aranda just won the game of life.

I've heard the contract says no coaching search will happen if O is let go.

First thing I thought when I saw the numbers. Os leash got that much shorter. This is a Belotti/Kelly at Oregon situation all over again. Oregon knew that Kelly was the guy and didn’t let him go.
Mark my words, Dave Aranda is going to be our next HC. My guess is 2019 or 2020.

Aranda is gonna undermine Orgeron and become our next head coach.

I'm perfectly fine with that.
I'm sick of the mentality from this administration that they have to shoot for the moon and get these massive names.
That dumbass mentality is all over the NFL. Where do these clowns think the best coaches come from? They are assistants first.
LSU needs to lose that mentality, especially after jimbo fisher bent us over for 2 raises. Alleva is completely incompetent though.
