He'll never gain the approval of many here ... just like Miles. Normally, winning cures all ills, but not on the Rant.

Maintain current approval level: Win same number of games

Gain more approval: Pull Gathers and another big LA recruit and make NCAA Tournament by finishing in top 4 of SEC while signing top 15 recruiting class

Start with a great presser Monday then hire the best staff available and sign a few recruits. Fill out the class start winning.

I think expecting to pull gathers is too much.

I expect him to sign a class including Coleman, Hammink, and a big.

And making the NIT next year

1. Hire Livingston and that AAU coach out of New Orleans.
2. Sign Coleman, Hammink and find two or three serviceable bigs from the juco ranks somehow.
3. Start the process of rebuilding relationships with La high school coaches/programs; restart the summer camps and get HS coaches involved.
4. Win at least 20 games overall next year, record a winning SEC record and get in the NCAA tourney.
5. Land commitments from Bridgewater and Martin for the 2013 class, among others (I think Martin is 2013?).

Win. As of now I am expecting another 4 year stint of garbage basketball. Hope I am wrong.

You are right. The line has been drawn in the sand. The majority of those against will be forever against and will pray for the day they are proven right and can say "I told you so". Everything will be viewed from that perspective by them.

He needs to make a splash with a recruit or two, and then win games.
