Rank these guys that Rosetta lists, and/or add some new (realistic) names.

Tom Brown - Carolina Mudcats pitching coach
Kyle Bunn - Former Ole Miss, Clemson, Alabama pitching coach
Alan Dunn - Baltimore Orioles bullpen coach
Eric Newman - Nebraska pitching coach
Rayner Noble - Former Houston coach
David Pierce - Rice pitching coach

btw, i was curious what Rayner Noble is up to these days, so I googled and came across this.

I'd put Brown, Dunn, Pierce in the top group out of these.

Whither Vandy's pitching coach?

Isn't Corbin the real pitching guru at Vanderbilt ? IMO, its akin to Saban's defenses and his DC wherever he coaches.

So is Grewe officially gone or is Randy jumping the gun?

Personally I think Sanchez is the bigger problem.

I think Muschamp is pretty legit for one of Saban's old DCs.

And it sucks to see Sanchez go because he seems like such a nice Mexican guy.

Rice pitching has not been up to the Rice standards we saw 5-6 years ago but recruiting might pick up in Houston area

Not sure about Noble either, especially the way he went out (it was pretty contentious and a parent took him to task) but again recruiting in Houston would be good

Tom Brown - he's been away from college game too long and you lose a recruiting asset - minors are a lot different than college and I don't think he's the answer

Ben McDonald is not giving up his life (hunting and fishing) and free time for college baseball grind which is now a year round job from recruiting in summer, practice in fall and games in spring

No... Johnson is the pitching coach at Vandy, and he was the national pitching coach of the year a few years back (When Price was there).

I met him when I was in high school playing ball. I was looking for schools to play for at the time. Incredibly nice guy, and I learned ton from him in 3 days time. We would be incredibly lucky to get him from Vandy.

I really think the reason Grewe is gone is bc of the lack of talent on the roster and he was the recruiting coordinator.

Coaching can't just make a bad player good in baseball. A lot of the guys on the roster looked good on paper but just aren't that good on the field.

Rhymes is the opposite. He doesn't look good on paper but he just hits on game day.

This is probably a major reason. Recruited what looks to be the right players but they don't pan out.

Same thing happens in football except you have more people to choose from.

IMO, there is NO EXCUSE for such poor offensive output from 1B and the corner OF spots (Katz being the exception).

Mike Lowery could have played(.454 on the year), and hell even Eades could have got some more bats in if he wasn't pitching that night.

That may have something to do with it but what I gather there were other reasons to call for his dismissal.

Who said Sanchez is leaving?? Actually, for whatever reason, I think PM will keep Sanchez.
I remember someone on the rant about a month ago, who claimed to have knowledge of the LSU situation, said Grewe would be gone after the season, but Sanchez would stay, so at least for now, this appears to be one of those rare times where someone with 'creditable' sources, was right...
