Nothing in particular. Just mostly showing that it takes a combination of factors to become a Heisman winner, HS rankings are difficult to project to college and pro football, and there is a wide range of HS player rankings that have won the award.

Just thought it was interesting to see how the facts compared over the years.

Proof that QB's that have zero mobility and just an arm have gone the way of the dinosaur in college football.

Not saying our QB's have reach 1,000 rush yds like Daniels, but they can't be statues. Not sure Nuss fits that mold.

Now add in whether these guys won national championships and whether they worked out in the NFL. For the idiots who think non-running QBs are "dinosaurs".

You mean, other than the 27 of 32 starting NFL QBs who aren't a running threat?

How does one get rated as a “dual threat”? Simple, zone read and operating out of a shotgun offense in high school. Joe would be a good scrambler but not dual threat in the same way as Lamar or Daniels. People respect Joe for the ability to run, but they REALLY respect that arm. So I think there is a sliding scale and Joe is definitely more of a pocket passer much more like Montana and not like Steve Young for example.

Is Joe like Lamar Jackson or Newton or Griffin III? Not really.
