Not a fan of Raymond but he's better than any coach we have on defense now. I feel Raymond could do a better job as DC than House.
I just dont get the love and admiration for House and him being retained. It was clearly a scheme issue and House refused to make any adjustments.

Billy firing his best defensive recruiter instead of looking at the Kid running the defense who’s best line on his resume was a middle of the pack Sun Belt defense.

He’ll get a job somewhere but hopefully it won’t be here. His teaching and gameday coaching is really bad despite being a good recruiter. Our 2020 and 2021 secondary was horrible which rolled into Gainesville the last two years.

He's never even been a good DB coach, just a good recruiter. And his last few years at LSU he whiffed a bunch both in missing talented in-state kids and taking other overrated kids with bad attitudes.
For example, Amik Robertson and Donovan Kaufman should have been at LSU.

The real thing I don't want to see is him end up at A&M. Elko can coach the frick out of a defense, just needs recruiters around him.

Dude, just enjoy watching football. Understanding and diagnosing ain’t your strong suit. How are you going to scheme up a defense when you have players who lose guys and leave dudes uncovered on basic coverages?! You have a dline that can’t bring pressure. You could rush Perkins, but then they just run away from him and you can’t contain, you could spy him and then someone like fsu feasts, you could drop him in coverage but then there’s no pressure from your front 4. Your dbs can’t give you 3 seconds of coverage much less 2 seconds to allow pressure to get there, I mean what the frick are you talking about a scheme issue.

Raymond has a type that he always recruits. He likes the tall, long armed DBs. Obviously, that shouldn't stop him from pursuing talented guys that have ball hawking skills that may not have the stature. That philosophy would have prevented us from getting Mathieu.

This was my thought. Their schedule next year is brutal and he had to do something to show change.
