Have been flat out bust so far. Immediately when duce got in the game last night he got roasted for a deep touchdown that thankfully didn’t count due to a holding call and zy seems to make multiple boneheaded plays in coverage a game. How did two players who got so much praise in the preseason been so lost in coverage all year ?

Ounce again proves that players recruited to LSU out of HS are more effective than transfers from lesser schools.

Zy was an All American at the FCS level and was projected to be a day 2 or 3 draft pick.

Zy had one really bad play where the QB scrambled and there was a bust in coverage. He may not be elite but he's a capable corner. The safeties for lsu really struggle in coverage and don't provide much "help". Lack of pressure on the QB will make most DBs look bad

What’s the story on Welch? Has he played much this year?

I don't think BK can't recruit. But I'll say this, he won the west last year and had a lot of the nation thinking we were a playoff contender this year.

The fact that Florida, Auburn, Texas, OU, and a&m all had terrible seasons last year but can still get high ranked recruits is interesting.

We've shown on the field that things are on the up & up yet he still can't sell a lot of the elite kids on us.

So far, this is proving to be true.

He landed plenty of elite kids this last cycle that are already contributing. The 2023 class was legit.

He can clearly recruit. Is he Ed Orgeron good? No, but he can bring top 5 classes if we can get more competitive with NIL.

Stupid comment. Portal is the only thing to get guys even remotely ready to play right away. 95% of freshman aren’t ready to come in and play right away at a high level. He’s had one class and you’re making this comment.

I'm not saying the 23' class won't be great but not sure where you're getting this idea they've already been validated.

Heard and Kaleb are the only real contributors this year - and to be fair, those are in-state kids. Very possibly could've landed them regardless of Kelly.

Whit looks bad arse but his brother was already here so there was that connection.

I'm just saying, some of these other coaches don't have anything to show for their time at said university, yet they're getting some elite guys to buy in on this fantasy that the program is in the right direction.

Our program is actually in the right direction (with on-field results) and we're still not taking that next level in recruiting where we're landing top guys from out of state.

There’s some learning still to be done on how to balance the portal and HS recruiting that all schools seem to be dealing with. BKs been lights out in the portal, but we are missing on key HS targets due to NIL and that’ll kill us over time of it’s not fixed.

Need to hire coach O as defensive line coach. Kelly doesn't have enough energy. He looks like a zombie on the side line.

I’m not sure it matters anymore. We have Frank and we are still losing kids to Texas schools with deeper pockets.

This is the way, but right now Wingo is our best DL, Daniels is the starting qb, Brooks was our best DB this year, last year our best CB’s were transfers, and Diggs may be our best RB.

The roster was seriously depleted from the Orgeron era, particularly at DB and DL, which is inexcusable because of the state we live in.
