yes, and he would have brought Shep back to be the starting qb

Seems like a moronic topic. How about you discuss with yourself while we all laugh at you?

With this exact roster, probably.
But idk that he could have gone and got Tanks, Skenes and Hurd.
I think that’s where CJJ stands alone.

i think so. Paul was a damn good coach evidenced by his sec and sec tournament wins. he led the team to a national seen many years. at the end, he got complacent and his neck injury may have been connected to that. it was time to move on but Paul is still very much connected to LSU and is very well thought of.

I do not believe Manieri, Alan Dunn and crew would have put together this roster.

what happened in 2010 and 2011. Coaching staff got complacent?

No, but he would have won the SEC Tournament.

So many variables so it's hard to say. I'll say this though, I think Jay surrounds himself with better coaches. I think highly of CPM, but I'm not sure some of the players would have went on the journey they did with the guys that were here under Paul.

i’m I dont think so.
idk.
I am a big fan of JJ as a hitting coach.
Guys like Crews would have been fine but JJ really got a lot out of guys like Beloso Jobert and Milazzo. our Ob% was astronomical.
team % was .432
2009 was .405 and I dont think there was a better season that that under PM.

Let it go. What purpose does it serve to keep crapping on a man who gave his all to LSU. I know it wasn’t great at the end, but there were extenuating circumstances. He realized what was happening and stepped aside for the benefit of the program.

Your a bigger idiot than the op.

He never said that and you can’t prove that he did.

paul was a good coach, he had just lost that hunger, desire, fire in the belly. Don’t know if it was health, age, grind of baseball in his sixties. I don’t know if most of you realize Skip was actually younger than Paul when he left the game.
