Just like the 2019 Football Team.

I mean look who they had to beat in the CWS to win it all.
Lots of MLB talent, shortened draft, NIL, bigger budgets, etc.
Yea it's hard not to think this is the best one

Congratulations to LSU for a great victory. That was an entertaining game.

Possibly
Definitely the team with 2 of the best ever
They had to beat the 1 and 2 seed, get through the losers bracket, few days off and play 3 finals. It was a hard road.

I don’t know but it’s one that surprised me and I saw one of the best pitchers I’ve ever seen in college.

I haven’t had time to think about where they stand overall in LSU history, but I know this…
One game, winner take all, everyone’s ace on the mound….
Nobody would beat this team!

Definitely one of the most talented if not THE most talented team. It’s pretty high on the list for best too. Beating both Florida and WF who are loaded with MLB talent makes me lean yes

Storybook for sure. Injuries to the pitching staff, limp into the playoffs with one dependable arm, and a disastrous bullpen; then flips the script, come out of the losers bracket to force the bullpen to carry you. I wrote them off many times, especially after the devastating loss in game 2 of the Championship series, and the first 2 hitters tee off on Hurd… Yeah, this one was the sweetest. I know it wasn’t as dramatic an ending to some, as the walk-off Warren Morris moment, but what they did, against all odds imo, was so memorable….Your backs to the wall, you sat your best pitcher, against that Florida lineup, c’mon. Team of legends….

Has the all tournament team ever been made up of only 2 teams before? Usually there’s some others sprinkled in it seems.
Wake not having one dude on there is both sad for them and hilarious to me.

Does the ‘97 squad get to use the old bats and keep their roids?

Not a walk off, but I think it was the perfect response to what happened to us in game 2. To me, the blowout leaves no doubt that we are the better team. Man, I really hate Florida.

1997 will always be my favorite but when you look at this team accomplishments and awards especially with how the parity is with these days in college baseball I would not argue putting them #1.
