In their 1st elim. game tonight look for WF to play tight.

Meanwhile LSU has been there and survived 2 nights in a row.

I look for LSU to play loose and confident and I absolutely love them in this spot.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Face Humpers press and make some unforced errors.

They played tight last night and went from bravado to frustration when we took the lead and Herring settled in.

If we can get even a 1 or 2 run lead early with Skenes on the mound I like the chances of the wheels falling off for them.

IMO quite a few in their lineup already look tight at the plate.
They are watching pitches, almost like looking for a walk, then chasing pitches that are off the plate.
Their team BA is .198. Can't wait to see Skenes set the pace tonight & dominate. They have NOT seen ANYTHING like him all season.

I don't know the percentages, but a team coming from the loser's bracket to force a winner-take-all game has all the momentum. I feel like a team in that position wins more often.

100% Agree. I think LSU will play lights out behind Skenes.

I think they bought into their own press clippings and thought they were invincible. How much that got in their head will probably be evident early. If LSU can score early I think Wake falls apart.

Here's to Tanks busting his slump with a monster shot in his first AB.

Their best hitter last night watched strike 1, 2, and 3 in a row late in the game. This team is frazzled.

I thought they said in radio the other day that it rarely happens?

Yep. They are teetering on it already. One or two big plays from lsu and that’s it.

And they are def thinking about the #1 curse

I think they are used to going up against such shitty pitching it has killed their aggressiveness
Basically they wait until they get a strike before they start swinging…pitchers at this level throw strikes so they start every at bat behind…it’s like the have a little league hitting philosophy…

Actual percentages may not back this up but I feel the same way.

WF's coach coached like he had another game to fall back on and let their starter walk the bases full and then let him pitch to Beloso. I look for their coach and their team to make more mistakes tonight. I think the situation really favors LSU...I dont care about the statistics.

Heard Ott talking about an interview with one if the WF players. He was asked who they were worried about losing to (or something to that effect)…dude said “Nobody.”

Oops.

If you saw the boys in the press conference you know all you need to know.

and didn't one of their players say something along the lines "we can't be beat".....yeah, all the pressure in the world is on big, bad, unbeatable #1, while we have the ace going at them.

I said it before but it’s worth relating. Their best bit late in the game watched three strikes go by and he didn’t swing the bat.

well....they only lost, what, 10 games all year?? their feeling of invincibility is well deserved coming into the tournament. however, they have not reacted very well to be punched in the mouth. Yes, Tyson reference.

Tiger drag their moose nuts all over them tonight. the face humpers may like it though.

I was thinking the same thing a while ago. They just got popped in the mouth and we can play looser, because they were expected to win.

LSU wasn't supposed to make it out of the losers bracket because of our supposed weakness in the bullpen....now we get our Ace against a nervous WF...Give me LSU every time in that scenario!

I felt like Wake Forest played like a team that was way too aware that they didn't need to win. When they got down, they appeared to basically concede. I was very surprised that their manager didn't do a better job of communicating the urgency.
