odd , no? Kentucky played both LSU and Vandy this year, is four times closer to Nashville than to BR. It feels like Stillwater vs LSU and UK vs Vandy makes more sense?

1) They don't pair supers like that anymore

2) Those 4 schools have no issues finding PJ or chartered flight money.

They don’t pair regionals geographically………..? I mean I’m not sure where you’re even getting that complaint from. These guys are flying wherever they go whether it’s 200 miles or 800 miles

distance matters more in regionals than super regional pairings.

there are some teams that probably would have serious financial issues if you shipped them to the west coast or something

They don’t pick super matchups by looking at a map.

Thinking we’d get ok state was not strange. If i am uk and uk is lucky enough to win their regional, a 200 mile trip and an 800 mile trip is a difference for me between going and not going. Vandy’s Hawkins Field will be vastly different if ok state comes compared to if uk would have come.

That’s still not how they determine seeding. If they wanted to do it that way, they would have stuck with only seeding the Top 8. The whole point of going to 16 was to seed teams based on merit.
