I hate losing too but this was objectively a successful season and with Skenes we have an advantage in any 3 game series.

I agree it’s been successful and no fan should ever turn their nose up at how easily lsu got a national seed.
Having said that it was disappointing seeing how LSU played today. They win and they’re the undisputed SEC champs and send Georgia home for the year.

Okay. I’m still gonna be upset if LSU loses their super regardless of how they stacked up in the sec. But I still would’ve liked for lsu to step on UGAs throat today. Hardware is hardware.

Question: what’s the most top 8 seeds ever for one conference?
Because the only shot for LSU not to get one is if a committee decides the SEC will have too many and they need to spread the wealth a bit
SEC in the RPI has numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8
The top non SEC or ACC team is #10 Indiana State

Kentucky and SC are not getting Top 8 seeds. That leaves the SEC with 4, which has happened before. Even if they limited it to 3, LSU would be one of the 3.

At our lowest point this season following the MSU series L D1 was still projecting us as a 4 seed. LSU easily got a top 8 seed. just hope we get a top 8 seed on the opp side of the bracket as WF

It makes it worse that we beat Arky head to head and they end up with the title, and we controlled our own destiny today, but couldn't do it. Makes it even more worse it was Arky in the first place since I have to listen to them crow about it up here. If we had gotten beat by better teams down the stretch to lose it, yeah it would be easier to take. But we stepped on our own dicks the last two weeks and that is not acceptable.

I never liked Dave Van Horn as a coach or a man. I know LSU plays for Omaha but we had an SEC title in our grasp and our bullpen could not close the deal the past two weeks.

My top 8 going into conference tourneys would be:
1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. LSU
5. Stanford
6. Clemson
7. Vanderbilt
8. Virginia
Stanford will get one based on geography alone being on west coast and already being a top 8 going into the week. WF is guaranteed one and Clemson is so hot I don’t see how they don’t get one.

Tennessee won the SEC regular season and tournament last year. Lot of good it did them two weeks later.
