Nah they just need to get him in as many EDCI classes as possible.

I don't think you tell him to leave. You just proceed as if he's not going to be available or someone you can rely on in your prep for the season/games. If he is ready to go for the season and can contribute, great! If not, no big deal. You weren't counting on him to be a big contributor anyway and didn't plan your season on such.

It's very unlikely (and really has been for a long time) he's ever going to be a big time RB at LSU. Still, he did give you flashes that were big in winning games last season. Notably, vs Auburn and Alabama. There's no need to run a guy like that off unless his presence is significantly hurting the team (i.e. locker room problem). He doesn't seem to be that kind of guy.

You simply just treat anything positive he gives you as an added bonus

There honestly weren't many good ones in the portal. He can also still go get one after spring ball if he absolutely has to. Holly being an early enrollee helps though and Goodwin should be fine soon. Our numbers are fine so you don't add someone just to do it. All this to say Emory may be fine academically come fall.
