Is Nuss to Bo Nix a fair comparison?

To me it is, at least at this point in his career. Similar skill sets. Several big plays this weekend, complimented by a strip sack, one interception and another pass that should have been picked. How much risk vs. reward is acceptable?

Nuss is more like Brett Favre. His first look is the deep ball and he don't give a rip if he's double covered. His throwing motion is similar too.

Nix can’t hold a candle to Nuss.

Nuss has an amazing IQ and arm. He’s special

Fk off troll. Speaking of stripping ball, your boy after 40 starts fumbled the game away at a&m after we regained momentum. Did you start a thread about him? Did you start a thread about how he can't read a d, and can't hit the side of a barn over 15 yards.

Nuss is fearless. Could see a Stat line for him 30tds 12 ints I guess it would depend on the timing of the ints. Spring ball will be must see tv.

Nuss has a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head. He will NEVER win a championship.

I know that I am in the minority on this board, but give me JD5 100 times out of 100.

I mean one of them started about 25 games at Auburn before he transferred. The other has started one game at LSU. I still don’t know what to think of Nuss.

13 points vs Tenn was a lot of fun!
Scored more than Kentucky and Vandy did on TN!!!! Only 10 points less than SEC avg on TN!!!

We did score more points than auburn on A&M too!!!!
5 points below sec avg on A&M!!!

Hell we hung 13 on R Kansas!!!

We crushed it against 6-6 Florida and 8-4 Ole Miss!!!!

Yes JD is very smart. His pre reads of pressure are outstanding, and his ability to avoid sacks, while keeping his eyes downfield, before delivering a strike 30 yards down the field are a thing of beauty. Nuss could never do that.

No way to know this when he hasn't been an every down QB. Totally different mentality coming in down 20 in garbage time.

He's never had the chance to manage the game from the beginning.

That guy thinks everyone is racist who criticizes Nuss. It's actually funny to watch.

And Bo Nix is a poor comparison. Not similar at all other than they're poor decision makers which is usually the case with most young QBs.

There's not enough sample size on Nuss to know what he is. the only thing you can say for sure is he has high confidence throwing which leads to boom or bust moments. If he has any other flaws nobody knows what that is on the sample size. Clearly coaches think JD gives better chance to win and see what tRant doesn't who always favors backup QB no matter what.

Got that right. Wanna see Nuss' progress as well as Howard.

If JD hangs around, then it should be fun.

Yep.

If Nuss is gonna be the starter, I hope they work with him on ball security.

If JD is going to be the starter, I hope they work with him on deep passes and trusting his receivers more.

Both QBs have positive and negative things about them right now and they may or may not ever get any better.
