Are we being disrespected? (Optimist)

Do y’all think we are being disrespected a little bit? I mean if you asked any CFB analyst a year ago they would tell you BK is one of the best, he takes LSU job and he “can’t recruit, or win the big game, or is a poser.”
A lot of people agree we have one of the best DL and WR rooms in the country (two position groups that can absolutely win you a game).
I understand everything that had happened the last two years, but we have analysts claiming we will finish 5,6,7th in the west? Does that not anger anyone else??? Les took far less talented teams to 9 wins. I mean think about the dream combo of Harris and Jennings.
More than anything I’m ready for order to be re-established I guess. Pitt game got me excited.

Finishing anything less than 3rd in the West would be a big disappointment. We have all the talent in the world and a phenomenal coaching staff. I have high expectations.

We have the 8th most talented team according to the blue chip index and not ranked in the preseason top 25 for the first time since 1999. If they don’t play with a chip on their shoulder then something’s wrong.

We have won 3 NC's the last 18ish years. Were we expected to win one in ANY of those seasons? Talk about disrespect, Burrow was the REASON so many thought we would fail in '19. See how that worked out for us? Barring some serious injuries, this year could be as magic as any of the last 3 crazy-good seasons. Would be 4 but for the Bama do-over season. Beat those trailer park bitches at their house and they still get another shot at us. All good, just Bama, right?

Disrespected...no. There are just so many unknowns abouts this team that all the national sports media is playing it safe and CTOA.

Part of it is our transfers in aren’t super high profile and our transfers out were. Ricks, Gilbert year before, are household names for the core college football fans. People misunderstand what they don’t fully know. I think we’ll be a lot better than people think. 9-3

Other than DL and WR we have less talent and depth than other LSU teams. I’m optimistic that we win our share of games but it’s easy to understand the predictions from anyone on the outside looking in

Part of the thing is that we don’t really lose a lot after this year. Besides DLine anyway. However we do this year will just be lagniappe because next year is really the year we make some noise.

It's a QB driven game and experience there matters. We have 2 very unproven options. That's typically not a good thing in major college football.
This is a rebuild the depth year. We're going to lose some games that are frustrating as fans. Feel like every game will be a dog fight.

This is year 1 after a dumpster fire recently. And the SEC is deeper than when les was here. Soon enough y’all will see how good teams like Tennessee and Arkansas are. And Mississippi state is a heck of a test in week 3…

Not me. Doesn’t make me at all angry. I think they are probably wrong and I hope they are surprised and find out they were wrong. But it in no way makes me angry.

Man we really are unfortunately 2 or 3 injuries away at quite a few positions from having to start guys that are no where near ready to play at a sec level yet. I think alot of the concern is depth related...
