Pro Football Focus grades Whitworth as the best pass blocker among all tackles in the NFL this season. He’s top five in pressure rate allowed, according to PFF, and top five in blown block rate, according to Sports Info Solutions.

And still no Pro Bowl. What does he have to do to get respect? He went nearly 2 seasons without giving up a sack at one point in Cincinnati and didn't make it.

Too many awards are based also on teams' records.

Throughout five years at LSU, he missed one total practice (to attend his own graduation).

Was at LSU 5 years. Played every game for 4 and still chugging in the NFL.

Those tires have some ducking tread

And people wondered why the SEC SEC chant started. It’s cause the SEC got little respect back in those days. You also had an undefeated Auburn get left out of BCSCG. Florida was given zero chance to be Oh St in ‘06 and wiped the floor with them. Then LSU was given little chance to beat Oh St in ‘07 and we wiped the floor with them. The SEC now gets the respect it deserves.. but it took a while.

I’ve never ever watched Dancing with the Stars, but if Whitworth is on it, I’m watching.

If he is not a first ballot hall of famer then no one is. Watched him playing for West Monroe in the Super dome for the state 5a game. He was a 10th grader starting at TE and was just as big then.
