Look like Baylor wants to go with aTm to the SEC.
I see no good coming out of The Southern Baptist Convention controlling a school in our conference. And I would say the same about any other school controlled by any other religious denomination as well.

You must not have every been to a game at Floyd Casey. It's definitely in my Top 200 Division I stadiums.

Why don't you try to begin? It's very easy to say you don't know where to begin because you have no idea what you are talking about.
Have you ever been to this board on TA?
It's basically a TT bashing circle-jerk/squeeze Ags forum. Your bully victim of the day is Baylor at the moment, but let's be clear on what it really is. I invite you over sometime. Ask for Jorts, he'll give you the grand tour.

He cited a study by The Perryman Group suggesting a Texas A&M departure from the Big 12, with no replacement team, would create a loss of 3,050 jobs and $217.2 million in output (gross product) annually in Texas. Ray Perryman, president and CEO of the group, is a Baylor graduate.

Can someone explain how this is even remotely possible. Grasping at straws.

Part of the reason why Rice would be a better pick -- Vandy gets a fellow private school that isn't run by a religious group. (And I'm not really suggesting that Rice should be invited, though another easy win during the season helps.)

Perryman is a Baylor alum. That explains everything.

Your pompous attitude towards others, namely TT and BU, makes you UT'esque. Don't think otherwise.
Baylor only got in the Big 12 because of Ann Richards. I don't really feel sorry for them. It wasn't like the did something to deserve their spot in the first place... it was just politics. I certainly don't feel bad for TTU after the Mike Leach saga.

The irony about all of this is that Ken Starr considers himself the savior of the Big XII. I heard him speak on a panel at the American Bar Association's annual conference last August. Among all of his accomplishments, saving the Big XII was mentioned during his introduction to which he made an egotistical reply. Point being, he really does feel that way. Now that he finally sees the writing on the wall, he's looking for a life boat. Good luck. Give me Texas Tech. Give me OSU. Anyone but Baylor.

You and Geaulxd are way off if you think the SEC would add TT or Baylor.
Texas Tech is far too to the West in sheer mileage for any other SEC fanbase to want visit, too barren a boring landscape, and brings no major market, before Leach or Knight..name me one TT athletic exploit you remember?..
Baylor, despite being a wealthy school, with respected Med school, is as mentioned controlled by a church, is a Dublin Dr Pepper/Koresh Cult blip on the highway map between Austin and Dallas..
Both with no significant sustained athletic prowess..they offer the SEC..zero zilch..
No chance!

can't blame baylor for trying to save themselves. they are headed to the sun belt if a&m leaves.
they are only delaying the inevitable. there's no ann richardson to ultimately save them this time.
Yet according to their commissioner, Beebe, A&M doesn't bring much to the table and could easily be replaced by Houston, BYU, or Air Force.

I could see TT only if they were immediately available and no one else was for the 14th. I think they would be more likely as part of the four teams to make a 16 team conference.
In neither scenario would I consider TT an ideal candidate. But neither was USCe when Arky was added.

Just to correct you, their medical school is going bankrupt and was about to be sold to Rice, so I wouldn't list that as a positive for them right now.

Ken Starr was the special prosecutor who led the investigation of Bill Clinton for years. I could see him being capable of throwing a giant monkey wrench in this process.
In regards to your post Born, it was Virginia Tech (along with UCONN, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia) that did in fact sue the ACC for conspiring to break up the Big East. However, the ACC thereafter extended an invitation for Virginia Tech to also join the conference partly due to strong political pressure applied against UVA and the ACC from Virginia Governor Mark Warner. Miami President Donna Shalala expressed her disappointment about the last-minute move to add Virginia Tech, saying that Miami had been kept in the dark regarding the decision and did not want Virginia Tech in the ACC. Virginia Tech promptly dropped its lawsuit. Thereafter, the Big East and members UCONN, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia sued the ACC, Miami, Boston College, and Virginia Tech.

Honestly, is Aggy worth all this drama? Part of me wants them to stay part of that circle Bevo Conference. The money must be too good for the SEC

Here's a thought...
If Baylor's problem with the process is that they don't get to play A&M each year anymore, how about A&M draws up a contract to play Baylor for X number of years as a concession?
If their big, overriding concern is that Waco sees Aggie fans traveling to the game, then the school better be content with taking a smaller-than-usual payout from A&M for the right to play them.

Sao, Jorts has mellowed some. Put 13-0 Branding Iron on him. That guy is pissed at the world. He has made destroying tards and sips his life mission.
And to those talking about TT athletics. They suck. Baylor actually brings more, except they are just so damn awful in football. But football is king so I understand
