I think (read: hope) he was being sarcastic.

However, I do think the A&M new market argument has value. And trust me, I have been the number one supporter of # of total viewers vs. new market on this board.

It's like adding the NY Mets.

Oh but the Mets are in NY. Who cares no one wants to watch the Mets, the yankees run that city.

Who did WVU play in 07 that leads you to believe their D was legit? Also, Jones and McFadden are both better than Slaton and White.

Florida does not want FSU in the conference.

Damn right we don't. We play FSU every year anyway so it's not a fear thing. FSU joining the SEC helps FSU in many ways and at the same time hardly benefits UF.

So why the hell would we just stand there and welcome them to the SEC?

yeah total viewers matter with a network/national cable structure

if a conference had its own cable network, then expanding into populated areas matters. you don't even need new viewers of the network

Oh certainly, I'm not arguing A&M, Im arguing why FSU would be a great pick for people to watch.

I mean A&M still very popular program to get national views, honestly I can't say the same about Missouri.

I mean I know a lot is also added to that, but just regarding what people want to watch more on TV in markets outside of where these schools are.

Besides how much of KC actually cares about Missouri Football, i'd think more Chiefs than anything.

This statement is pure rhetoric. Very similar to when a school is looking to hire a new coach - EVERY body knows who they are trying to get, yet the school 'has not talked to', the person they are trying to hire 'has not talked to' anyone from the school (or any other school, for that matter).

In other words, this is still very much a live issue, and when it comes down, it will come down quickly. JMHO.

This thing far from over. Ball in TAMU's court. Watch how fast SEC reacts if TAMU says tomorrow they're out of B12. Again, big IF

did you see arky's option carve up LSU?

WV did that with a mobile QB

Yes, I did. I was at that game.

And it wasn't the option that killed LSU that day.

Peyton Hillis in isolation against linebackers, both as a lead blocker and in pass coverage is what won that game.

you're arguement about wvu getting their starting qb hurt against a shitty team means nothing when lsu played in the seccg without their starter and won.

UConn- got their arse handed to them by Choklahoma last year.

Cincy- got their arse handed to them by Florida in 09.

USF- Not very good either.

You are comparing a very good NFL starting lead back (who was the third option in that Arky offense) to just another NFL fullback.
