By the way, will you still be Oklahoma's bitch on the field if you move to the Pac 16? (6 conference titles to three and counting!)

I genuinely feel we got screwed in 2008 which would makes the #s a little more favorable.

Look, we dominate OU in the all-time series. We have won 4 of the last 5. They also have Landry Jones at QB so I like our chances this season. Texas will do just fine against OU.

Little off topic, but who do you think will knock UT out of the CWS the first year of Pac-16 play?

Texas is pussified. They were in a 2 or 3 team conference for 15 yrs and only pulled 3 conference championships out of it. They're now trading that in to do what? Play the same teams under a new name in the hopes they won't have to play a championship game now. Texas fears the Ag's will improve in the SEC, while they add two more patsy's to their schedule in the East Pac 10, with Arizona and Ariz St.

Yet if A&M does something you don't like you thraten to black ball them like the spoiled country club types you think you are. Sure seems to me like Texas is trying to push them around. By the way, it also had to do with the TV deal and their own network dumbass.

This is really insulting to A&M. This idea that they have been operating in fear and have been a puppet of Texas during their Big 12 tenure really marginalizes the Aggies. I have a feeling Bill Byrne would laugh you out of a room over this idea.

I'm ecstatic we are separating from A&M.

Then what are you ramblin on this board about blaming them for the "mass exodus" and "epic death blow" to the big 12? If you're so happy to be away from them, quit bitchin about it.

If the Pac 16 come together, there is nothing easy about a conference with USC, Texas and OU. In an honest moment, you would admit this is true.

Texas, and the other Big 12 schools going to the Pac 16 are all never playing A&M again in any sport because A&M gave their word and commitment that they would be going to the Pac 16 and then broke their word.

Your boyfriend has obviously packed so much fudge up your arse that it's effecting your thought process.

A&M never pledged that they would go to the Pac X! Whorn just assumed they spoke for us and is throwing a fit like a damn 3 yo who isn't getting their way. Damn nutless bovine hypocites.

Except for a couple of facts.

Texas won't travel past Arizona to play in the Pacwhatever. They'll only have Oklahoma to contend with.

USC is about to have the kind of decade Bama had this past decade.

I'm not blaming A&M. They were set up by Texas to take this fall.....and they will take the blame.

This thread was to counter the argument that Texas is living in fear of an increased SEC presence in our state hurting the Longhorns recruiting. This thread has since been hijacked in multiple directions.

We'll see. If Texas Tech, OU, Okie State and Colorado never play A&M again in any OOC sport, then Ketchum will be proven right.

Which they are. Otherwise, Texas wouldn't be shifting gears so much to set the Ag's up for the blame.

This whole realignment mess is going to have long term political consequences in the state of Texas and this new attempt to save the Big 12-2 is a CYA move by Texas.....and an effective one. A&M will be the team which gives the Big 12-2 its death blow if they go to the SEC. There is no way to spin this otherwise.

Holy shite, you must be high or think the rest of the country is just stupid! The demise of the Big 12 has one school to blame, Texas!
