basically what happened was when VT took syracuses place it was put to a vote and they were short one vote to gain entry to the ACC Duke/UNC or UVA. Duke and UVA would not budge so political pressure was put on UVA to change their stance.
Thats why if VT leaves UVA will come right along with them, UVA no matter how much they hate VT they helped VT and now they won't let VT stab them in the back like VT did the Big East. VT initially was grouped with WVU ant Pitt to stop they raid in the law suit and changed their stance first chance they got. Since VT joined the ACC their fan base has become more elitist like.

Texas A&M to SEC is great for Arkansas. It would make their recently renewed annual rivalry game (southwest classic) a conference game.

VT gets pretty shitty ratings in national/BCS games
the DC "Market" they would add isn't all VT. Its shared with WVU/Maryland/Penn State and UVA when they are good
