This conference should dissolve into the other conferences. It is by far the worst conference in the country.

no other conferences want the abortions known as SWAC schools. They bring less than nothing to the table, they actually bring more potential negatives than positives.

I'm hearing whispers of Mississippi Valley to the Big East. They goal is to dominate the Itta Bena market.

Some of these schools draw for football. Jackson State, Southern and Grambling would be good fits for the Southland.

Those schools would want to join the Southland about as much as the Southland schools would want them to join. The only conference with a smaller chance to dissolve is the Ivy League.

here's a great idea: let's compete in FCS but not award scholarships to football players! Nothing could possibly go badly.

SWAC will never dissolve. Being a conference with all HBU members (historically black universities) Congress will step in to protect it, at the least by merging it with MEAC (the other HBU conference).

i thought those guys didn't play against scholarship FCS teams...
but i digress... a scholarship is just tuition paid for. there probably isn't much real difference between non-scholarship football and low-level scholarship football

Which reminds me... I'm surprised that no race-baiter, such as one of the jackals from the CBC, showed up to denounce the NCAA when they slammed Florida A&M HARD a few years back for Lack Of Institutional Control when they racked up 196+ violations over a span of about 6 years.
FAMU was attempting to move up from I-AA to I-A and would have been the first HBCU to do so. All of those violations were found during their attempt to make the transition IIRC.
