I see these getting blocked.

Yea, I bet LSU would love for that to happen.

I say add A&M and Mizzou/OU to the west. Kick Ole Miss to conference USA and add VT to the east.

Another option would be WV to the east.

I think if only Mizzou and A&M add an 8 game conference schedule would need to still be in place and their would be no permanent team on the schedule from the opposite division. This means Kentucky or Vandy would need to move West and Bama and AU both to the East. To me this makes sense because then no annual rivals would be broken up... Who are the real rivals for Vandy or Kentucky?

Personally, I think any conference alignment that doesn't keep the schools from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama in the same division would suck balls.

The SEC West has great chemistry. It would be a tragedy to break that up.

I'm totally cool with adding A&M to the West but not at all cool with taking any current team from the West and moving them to the East.

Kentucky considers Tennessee to be a rival for some unknown reason...

Their only true rival is Louisville, so I guess you convinced me that they would be the best team to move from the East

Missouri will eventually be added to the Big Ten along with Texas, Kansas, and either Rutgers, Syracuse, or West Virginia.

Syracuse just got booted out of the AAU, so they're probably a no go. West Virginia has no chance in hell of being in the Big 10.

I think there are several requirements for any divisional setup:

1 - Preserve Alabama's rivalries with Auburn and Tennessee. They won't give them up and they have too much pull for it to go away.

2 - Preserve Tennessee's games with Vandy and Kentucky. Those schools need those games. It would be hard to sell f'n over the little guys.

3 - Most importantly, Bama and Florida must be in different divisions. These are the true power teams -- Florida's been in 10 title games and Bama's been in 7. They must be split up for balance, as they have proven to be the most powerful programs.

I don't think moving UK West and Bama/Auburn East would hurt much outside of losing the Tenn/UK matchup. The Mizzou/UK matchup would be a better fit for their style in the long run.

Yes, of course. That way the West will still have six teams and the East will have eight.

Good point. Additionally, I forgot to also stare that Oklahoma would also go as well.

Am I the only one who has ZERO interest in Missouri joining the SEC?

Im ok with adding ATM if we add somebody legit to go along with them. Mizzou does not fit the bill IMO

Edited to add:
I'd rather not add anybody than a ATM, Mizzou combo.

Didn't the B10 pass on a MU invite last year when they took NU?

Correct.

Not so fast--UGA, UF, and USCe will form a bloc against any of these schools, none of which bring new media markets.

GATech should have stayed in the SEC all along.

Yes, this time around. I believe it is a matter of time before there will be four super conferences formed. Missouri will more than likely be rejoined with Nebraska.

IMHO
