schedule just got harder adding A&M
Missouri to east - easier team ends up in east

LSU has to keep Fla as permanent - makes it tougher to get to SEC title game
A&M gets Missouri as permanent which is easier

Not much equity with this expansion

LSU will have to go back to easier non conference schedules which ESPN and media will have a field day with hurting BCS ranking

Theres a pretty good chance that A&M ends up with USC or Florida.

Mizzou and Arkansas being permanent rivals makes too much sense.

A&M either gets USC, and you keep Florida....or you get USC and we get Florida. That is the thought from our "sources" at least.

If it's true that LSU and UF are both pushing to end their permanent series, then it will probably end. I would rather play UF then USC, but it's clear that LSU fans are divided on this.

It would help LSU if UT would provide more competition against Bama than they have lately. These things do tend to go in cycles, but all signs point to Bama being on top of the series for some time.

These things ebb and flow. I don't think we can say definitively that LSU's schedule from here on out just got a little tougher. A&M has had it's share of dreadful years, Missouri's had up ones. I wouldn't sweat it.

pretty confident uf and lsu series will end. i'm sure it was demanded by both schools in order to get their votes. we could end up with uscjr. every year now.

Come on now, I thought all SEC fans wanted TOUGHER teams like FSU, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia Tech, West Virginia.lol. Now people are starting to think, add tougher teams=harder schedules. Been saying this shite all long.

I hate the permanent east team. I wish they would just rotate it like the Big XII used to do.

Yup. Look how all that conference cohesion worked out for the Big 12.

How we handled our scheduling had zero to do with that disaster called a conference.

Nothing to do with scheduling. You ever hear that Mark Chestnutt song "Blame It on Texas"?

Bama will be on top until Charles Robinson feels frisky again.

No, but it's silly to think the permanent game is actually a major problem for the conference.

TV contracts depend heavily on marquee matchups. they want Ala-Ten, Aub-UGa, and LSU-Fla as cross-divisional games. Plus the 3 games are between the "Big 6" of the SEC. Funny, back before 2000, LSU-Fla was a joke, automatic win for Fla, really only the "Big 5" back then. I guess the SEC bet that LSU would return to an upper echelon program.

The cross-divisional games were decided when Auburn bitched that keeping two divisional rivals would kill them (they had Florida and Georgia). Since they kept Auburn-Georgia, Florida's other opponent (us) had to be kept.

This. Losing the UF matchup would hurt both our recruiting in Florida and our overall competitiveness.

Still better and will be consistently better than Tenn for the duration. Tenn sucks and that's not going to change for a while.

Sorry bro but Arkansas will be Missouri new every year out of the east. A&M gets Florida and y'all get USCe. Arkansas gets a rival, y'all don't have to play Florida and Florida beats the shite out of A&M every year.
