Reluctantly A&M will head to PAC 10 with Texas, in my opinion

geographically the sec is the natural fit but politics will win out

after five years of PAC 10 mileage Texas and A&M might beg to get out

Texas wants no part of the SEC
There better off in a division with Arizona, ASU, Texas, OU, OSU, etc than a division with LSU, Bama, A&M, Auburn, Arkansas, etc.

Hence why TAMU would benefit from severing ties within the same conference with UT.

There a news story here, or just your speculation?

My take? A&M wants out of the shadow of UT, and I think they'll be able to sell recruits on playing in the SEC vs. the PAC 12-16. I believe A&M's in state recruiting will pick up.

It's one of the reasons both OU and Texas are so adamant about TAMU not doing this.

Unfortunately there is a very real chance that this happens, and our fanbase will be in an uproar if it does.

As a Blue Chip recruit with a limited family travel budget, which school would I want to play for?

As a fan i would rather travel to the school that has the best atmosphere for a game weekend. Not a conference where tailgating can only start at 2pm on a Saturday. Talk about lame. And costly. You can't pick up on a Friday and make a little drive to California.

and it's also basically a frick you to fans that like to travel to away games if they join the pac-teen

another reason why i dont understand why the fans of OU and UT would want to join the pac-teen

as a fan I'd be thinking ab how much it's gonna cost to travel up to Wazzu or Stanford and that the game day environments everywhere in the Pac will pale in comparison to schools that give a damn ab CFB. Not to mention watching your away games at 10 pm CST

hmmmm

travel would be cheaper in the pac 10

if Im at Texas every two years I need to go to Lubbock, College Station , OKlahoma, and Ariz

or BR, Little Rock,, Miss Bama

you only go to the coast once a year,, either,, cali/Oregon.Washington

or Tenn, Kuntucky/Fla.. Ga

its not even close

I really don't think fans think about the hassle it is to travel that far and how costly it is. LSU admin people cringed at the idea of LSU in the Rose Bowl before USC blew it a few years ago. Not saying traveling out to Washington isn't fun. But that is fun once every five years, not twice every season.

ONCE a year they will go to the west coast

and ONE game a year in AZ

both better destinations than BR/little rock will all due respect

the rest of the time its the same damn teams they play now

bascially trading out lubbock, Stillwater

for Miss and Auburn
