The problem with all these scenarios is the Big 12 most likely isn't expanding back to 12 because Texas wants 10. Have to remember what Texas wants, Texas gets.

Everyone was reporting that WVU was accepted whether MU left or not but it is now being reported they are accepted when Missouri leaves as the 10th team with no more expansion planned right now.

I'll tell you what it would mean, Its all about Texas and OU getting its hands on Recruits from New Orleans. Emagine them Coming down here and laying the wood to Tulane. Then everyone hearing How Powerful they are the next day on TV and in the Newspaper.

We don't want Tulane in the Big 12!!

Exactly.

Texas doesn't give a shite about Toolame. They are just a means to an end for them to get some exposure in NOLA.

Texas wrecks conferences more than they build them.

Of course. They have to be able to use the "our schedule is full" excuse so as not to schedule anyone worth a damn OOC.

frick that I'm tired of my favorite school sucking.

You would think LSU fans would support this movement since they are clearly better than us. I've never seen such a confident fan base lose their shite faster because some other team is getting a chance to move on up.

We aren't a threat now, so you feel you can crack jokes and say we suck. That's cool, I can take it. But the sheer fact that this is just talk right now and some LSU fans are shitting their pants is down right comical.

Tulane to the Big 12

LET'S DO THIS shite

Who is "shitting their pants," Weenie?

I said it would be an "aggravation" for Texas or OU to play every other year in NOLA and parasite the occasional NOLA recruit.

Toolame doesn't enter the equation. You're basically irrelevant; just a means to an end for the Shorthorns.

Typical delusional Weenie--thinking you're more relevant than you are aka "LSU fans are shitting their pants."

No ... LSU fans are dying laughing at Toolame's begging to be Texas's little crack whore for a crumb from the table.

Irrelevant yet a fan of the number 1 team in the nation has to constantly make fun and talk down to a team that hasn't been good in well over a decade.

Not delusional chief, I know we suck. Now take your dumbass back to the rant and jerk off to honey badger

You're right, Weenie.

"Making fun" of Toolame "football" isn't worth the effort; just an amused head shake at a supposed Division I program who can't get more than 1000 people in the stands.

My kid went to Tulane from a 2A high school in Texas in a town of about 2400 people.

What a step down. Crowds at my kid's high school football games were 3-5 times as big as Tulane's.

Damn, such rapier-like wit ... I give up!

Now I tell you what REALLY gets me worked up is Tulane's falling academics, since my kid goes there.

And reading the posts of guys like you, I REALLY worry about the value of my kid's degree.

Funny shite
Timlan, this started with an intelligent discussion about expansion. We all know that Tulane sucks, but obviously some people think there is alot of potential and it makes sense on several levels. a few recruiting classes and an offense not sedated in the '80s, who knows what can happen. I personally think it would be a good economic boost for the city of New Orleans.

And I personally think LSU gives NOLA enough of an economic boost--at least as far as college football is concerned.

National pundits have described LSU's defense as "fast, violent and frighteningly deep."

We have that kind of depth in a good part because Les--and before him, Saban--have put a lockdown on Louisiana and NOLA for LSU.

LSU doesn't need the aggravation of Texas and OU playing every other year in the Superdome and swiping the occasional recruit.

Let Toolame head to the Sun Belt or better yet, the Southland.

It's a great fit.

thankfully you don't make that decision...

the more big games i can go to in Louisiana, the better

here's the thing. in 30 years will a big Tulane game on TV draw crowds to bars outside of Uptown? it doesn't need to be statewide like LSU. the whole metro area will be fine

also Tulane owes it to the state to at least try, as i'm sure the Dome would rather have Big 12 opposition come in over anyone in CUSA.

if Tulane didn't try, the Dome might kick them out

also there are some who think a new stadium at Tulane is a plot by LSU fans to keep them small-time forever

Ok you do the math. UTEP brought 100 fans. Texas 30,000, OKL 25-30,000, OKIE ST. 20-25,000. I'm probably being conservative with those figures.
As Tuberville said, It's a great fan destination.
They would bring a larger portion of their fan base to New Orleans over any other current destination. LSU is #1 and the rest of the SEC isn't even competitive. I'm not worried...

Dang man, U still mad?

Spitting that venom, like it's personal.

Interested in what went down to make you pop up with the hate Tulane stuff. Not picking on you but it seems you have a deep hate going on there when others just laugh it off and take the occasional dig at Tulane. Just wondering I guess.

timlan shows up to most tulane topics and goes nuts about it. obviously there is something going on. someone must have touched his naughty spot. Heck, I am not a die hard of either lsu or tulane and i find the comments to be a bit saddening. We are on a board full os lsu fans and some other schools fans but only one person shows up at each opportunity to bash tulane the way he does. It is okay man, life will get better. Go get a McRib sandwich today.

you're right on with the texas and OU numbers, but remember those fanbases will be coming back every other year, so those numbers will drop. it's not a one-off bowl game

NO WAY Ok St. brings above 10,000

Sadly, this probably really is sincere thinking of a lot of Weenies.

Toolame has done enough on their own to keep themselves smalltime forever ... but reading on their boards the thoughts of their few fans left that it is all LSU's fault is amusing.

Oh. Why should I be surprised? My little stalker showed up.

You obviously don't have enough to occupy your time--get a job or go to school.

And hey, those long trench coats and that piece-of-shite van you drive have LONG gone out of style.

Come on man, we were here minding our own business in this topic well before you showed up with your constant insults.

It's okay man, it is clear you need to boost your self esteem. Carry on.
