Easy solution, move bama. Keep the ut bama game and auburn bama will be permanant east west game now. I know that messes up auburn uga, but something has to give.

"Does anyone else think the SEC will rue the day it watered down its perfectly good product w/ A&M & Mizzou?"

Stewart Mandel

Did Mizzou get prettier?

"In a year, Mizzou went from Big Ten rejection to reported SEC offer."

What if the SEC is the only league to go to 16?

The only solution to keep Auburn's, Tennessee's, Georgia's and Alabama's precious rivalries intact is:

Auburn and Alabama to the east
Kentucky to the west

There's no way they can keep both competitive balance and traditional rivalries. I'd have to believe only AU would go East, otherwise the West is definitely the worse division.

Financially, it makes a lot of sense. KC and St. Louis are 2+ million folks a piece, and Mizzou is right between them. That's a pretty big TV market for the SEC to add.Playing some games in those cities would be lucrative as well. If it's all about the bucks, it really makes sense to pick Mizzou.

Bama and UT have only met 93 times and won 42 conference championships along the way.

Way to go Slive, you're destroying the SEC

It's not any worse than having arkansas in the league. Both programs are about the same caliber in the long run.

You're not even close.

Mizzou destroyed Arkansas a few years ago in a bowl game.

You are basing your argument on this?

Mizzou
Ole Miss
MSU
Vandy

UGa
UF
LSU

SC
Tex AM

for real. god this would piss me off beyond belief. i don't want manufactured rivalries with aTm, Arkansas and Mizzou. i want to play the big boys of the SEC every year (Bama, Auburn and Florida). frick these greedy bastards for tossing tradition and the desires of the fans out the window.

Thrilled the PAC 12 has shut the door on TX and the Okies. Now I'm pulling for the remainder of the Big XII to hang together and succeed in keeping the rest of its wandering members out of the SEC.

Manufactured rivalry? Lsu and A&M have played eachother I think about 55 times since 1899. And until the 2011 Cotton Bowl, A&M had won 5 in a row. I agree it's no Red River Rivalry or Iron Bowl but there's some legit history there. It's anything buT manufactured.
