You're not going to get mad and poison our trees are you?

Alabama really needs to let this Tennessee shite go. It's just not feasible with the scheduling realities that are coming.

WELL, THEY AND TENNESSEE ARE THE frickING SEC.

Can we send ole miss or msu to the east?
Posted on 10/6/11 at 9:19 am to beatbammer
Bama has two rivalries, UT and au, not sure who added LSU. Under no circumstance should Bama need to give one up, while playing in the same conference.

wait, so it's ok for Auburn to want to bring in Mizz so they can jet to the east and secure their traditional match ups/rivalry but Alabama and UT are being difficult by saying no because they want to secure their traditional match ups/rivalry?
If Bama wants to keep the TN matchup over the Iron Bowl, then I say let them. It's fine. As stated earlier, Auburn had to give up its traditional matchups in '92. Make the move and let Bama chose which rivalry they want to continue. Seems fair to me?

Exactly. Bama has not and nor have they ever been made to sacrifice or give up jack squat.
Look 2 posts up, brah

Auburn and UT are our RIVALS...LSU is an opponent.

Pussy.
I just can't picture Missouri as an SEC team. It's weirder than A&M
I'm sure we'll put a stop to it though.

Bama only has 2 traditional rivalries. Lsu, om, and msu aren't rivalries. We're not going to give up one of the two we care about.

When the time comes, you won't have a choice in the matter.

When they went to divisions, they needed Auburn to bend and give up the UT rivalry. Auburn gave.
When they decided it was best to go to only ONE permanent non-division rival, they needed Auburn to bend and give up the UF rivarlry. Auburn gave.
Please explain to me, in today's SEC, when has Bama given? Giving up your long-term, traditional rivalry with Vanderbilt? Kentucky? You poor babies. It must have been so hard.

Just kidding, I have no idea how this will all pan out in the end.
I hate to see us end up without a storied rivalry like UT and I think UT feels the same way.
I hate to see the SEC bring in Mizz at this juncture in the conference realignment process. IMO, the SEC is the premiere conference, they don't have to make a decision right now. Wait it out and see what the landscape looks like this time next year.......

Not really. Personally, I think the matchup between Bama and Auburn in the SEC Championship game would be epic and far outstrip the Iron Bowl. The Iron Bowl is every year. A matchup in the championship game might be every decade. Much bigger IMO.

Except that wasn't said by an LSU fan....
LSU fans know Alabama isn't a true rivalry game. It's just a game that lately has had huge conference implications.

Right here. Entitlement. Stupidity. Delusion.
All wrapped up in one lil phrase. Thanks for proving my point gump.
Again, bama can frick itself and its entitlement (and I will add delusion) mentality.

don't be pissy with us for being proactive
Seriously? You really believe it is a matterof being proactive? For this to be true AU would have to be the very thing you claim Bama is not - more important than other in conference. So AU just said "move us to the East" and the conference just said "OK"? Nope. You were approached about the idea BY the conference and you REACTED to that idea favorably.
