So I heard, cheap organization, but it’s probably not all on Zac.

He's has a very long leash with that organization given how the Bengals like to operate.

His record without his starting QB should scare the frick out of that front office, but apparently they don’t care.

Marvin Lewis got 16 years and didn’t win a playoff game in 7 tries. Zac Taylor was head coach of a Bengals team that went to the Super Bowl. So it would seem he’s got job security as long as Mike Brown is still alive.

I heard a talking head say he wouldn’t be fired because they don’t want to pay his buyout.

Burrow needs demand ownership bring in a consultant or something.

Ownership won’t pay for that.

Bengals are the cheapest organization in the NFL, they’re the only ones that make their players pay for food in the team cafeteria during training camp.

The Bengals aren't a serious organization and the Brown family aren't serious NFL owners. Taylor needs to be fired as does Tobin and they need to actually spend money on scouting. Burrow et al were foolish to resign with the Bengals.

Burrow had to re-sign. The Bengals realistically had control of him until the 2028 season because of his remaining rookie contract ending in 2024 and three years allowable of franchise tags.

He would have made less money, had less leverage and would have been stuck in a series of one year deals where injuries could have stolen his future earnings.

Yeah everytime I hear someone say something about the re-signing, I lose my mind.

He couldn't just walk away in '24. He also couldn't just "take less." That's not how the CBA works. It's not something the NFLPA would have allowed. Guys can't funnel money into their own "company" like Brady back in the day.

Zac Taylor sucks. The best thing that ever happened to Lawrence was getting rid of Press Taylor and getting him a real coach.

Tomlin’s last win was 18-16 vs the Chiefs way back in 2016. The non losing season shite new standard he’s established had Steelers fans chanting for him to be fired this year. 19 years is way too long to be at one organization. Message is stale and fans are tired of him. He’s the NFL’s version of Les Miles at the end of his tenure.

A tag is the average salary of the top 5 earning players at the position. The tag lasts one year, but you can use a franchise tag two times and then you can use a transitional tag for the third year.

The transitional tag allows a team the first right of refusal to match any one year offer made by another franchise, but the team doesn’t get draft compensation if they decline the offer.

Imagine having Burrow, Chase, & Higgins in their primes and you keep wasting that to run it back every year with this retard.

So the player is locked to a team 3 years after his contract expires, if the team desires.

I guess it's rare that this actually becomes an issue.

Burrow is backing him. If he wanted him gone, he would be. Maybe next year he'll be emo enough for a change.
